Montcalm County Crash Kills Two

Two people are dead after a car fail to pass several others on a Montcalm County highway.

The crash happened on M-66 near Schmeid Road in Belvidere Township.

The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department says the driver of an Audi attempted to pass several cars but couldn’t get back over in time and came head on with a Buick.

They both swerved but ended up crashing.

The Buick’s driver and passenger died. Raymond and Mary Wrona were both 88 years old and from Grand Rapids.

The driver of the Audi and his passenger were transported to Kelsey Hospital.

The Montcalm County prosecutor says he is reviewing the case.
