Cadillac Rotary Raffles Off Cobra Replica Car
Tonight the Cadillac Rotary Club is hosting its annual fundraising auction and someone is going home with a very special prize.
For the past several months students at the Career Tech Center in Cadillac have been working on this car, a Cobra replica.
The car was donated to the center and students spent close to a thousand hours working on it.
The Cadillac Rotary Club sold nearly 1,200 tickets for the raffle.
The car’s donor says he’s thrilled students were able to work on it, get experience and give back to their community
“I think honestly there is a need for education in trades and I think this is a nice way to highlight that and have them have an opportunity to work on a special project,” said Gus Meyjes who donated the car.
The winner was Erin Brotherton.
The proceeds from the car raffle will go toward helping pay for the renovations going on at the Rotary Pavilion in Downtown Cadillac.
