A Saginaw man’s leg was cut off by a train while he was trying to run from police.
It happened Monday night in Saginaw.
State troopers say they were looking for robbery suspects when they saw a driver make an improper turn.
They tried to stop the man, but he got out of his car and ran until a train blocked his path.
The man tried to go underneath the train and was dragged 1,000 feet before it stopped.
Police say the train cut off one of the man’s legs and he had to have the other leg amputated at a hospital.
The man is expected to survive.
