Two Cadillac Sexual Abuse Resource Centers to Host “Stomp Out” Walk

This weekend — two resource centers for people who’ve experienced sexual trauma are co-hosting a walk to "Stomp Out Sexual Abuse.”

Healing Private Wounds and OASIS Family Resource Center are both in Cadillac.

The awareness walk is this Saturday at 11 a.m., starting at the Cadillac City Park.

It will end at the First Presbyterian Church of Cadillac, where a few survivors will share their stories.

“I think it’s going to be an exciting time for the community because April is Sexual Abuse Assault Month,” said Healing Private Wounds Director Shirley Petersen. “It’s the perfect time to let people know we have survivors in our community who are making strides to heal.”

Parents can also sign up to be part of a coalition to band together to protect kids.
