What’s Happening in Northern Michigan: Spring Release, Free Golf Weekend, Sip and Savor

Now that it’s finally starting to feel like spring in Northern Michigan, it’s time to head out and soak up the sunshine.

Courtney Sheffer is back from the to show you where to enjoy some fine wines and to where to hit the links for free golf.

Bonobo Winery in Traverse City will be hosting their Friday evening on April 15!

You can look forward to the introduction of four new wine releases, live music and small plates to pair.

Bonobo’s spring release is their way of introducing their newest wines and getting ready for the upcoming summer months.

This is a great chance to sign up for Bonobo’s Wine Club membership, which entitles you to exclusive wine releases, including the new Chardonnay Estate Reserve.

The Gaylord Golf Mecca is hosting their annual from April 22 through April 24 as a celebration and a thank you to the many golfers from around the Midwest who frequent this top golf destination.

The free golf weekend includes a free round of golf with cart for guests who stay at one of the participating hotels, including Pinecone Accommodations and Treetops Resort.

As the vineyards on the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail start to wake to the sun and warmth of the season, they’ll be hosting their on April 30 and May 1.

Enjoy delicious wine and food pairings at 23 wineries along the wine trail.

Celebrate spring, indulge your senses, and learn more about Leelanau Peninsula wines.

Take the self-guided tour by visiting the tasting rooms in any order on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

Tickets are limited and typically sell out, so you’ll want to order yours online to reserve your spot.
