Community Garden Seeks People to Plant for Seniors

A local community garden needs people to fill it with fresh vegetables.

The Cornerstone Community Garden in Cadillac is ready for some plotters.

Twenty by 10 plots are 25 dollars, and 10 by 10 plots are 12 dollars and 50 cents.

But if you take part in a cause that will help feed local seniors, you can get a plot for free.

“You can do community service within the garden helping other people out, making sure their garden’s picked up and that sort of thing. Two, you can give half your produce to senior green or to local food banks,” Cornerstone Community Garden President Rebecca Reinink said.

If you’re interested in a plot, call Rebecca at (231) 775-9491.
