Mackinac County Prosecutor Removed From Darrell Lovegrove Case
An update on the case against Darrell Lovegrove.
He’s accused of killing a teenager in a crash in the Upper Peninsula last October.
Lovegrove is charged with being drunk when he hit and killed Mitchell Snyder on Mackinac Trail.
The deadly crash happened just hours after Mitchell helped his football team win their homecoming game.
Tuesday, the Mackinac County prosecutor was removed from the case.
He represented Lovegrove in a drunk driving case in 1998.
The new judge on the case made the call.
The previous judge was removed because his wife owns a business that the defense is affiliated with.
