A new Associated Press poll shows since the Flint water crisis started confidence in safe drinking water is going down nationwide.

Results show only half of Americans are very confident in the safety of their drinking water while 33 percent are moderately confident.

The poll also shows people see the Flint crisis as a sign of widespread problems for drinking water in the U.S.

7 in 10 people drink tap water but about half filter it first.
