New Sault Ste. Marie Kohl’s Opens With Ribbon Cutting

A new store is bringing excitement and creating more jobs in the Upper Peninsula.

Kohl’s opened their new store Friday with a ribbon cutting in Sault Ste. Marie.

Customers were ready and waiting for the doors to open Friday morning.

The new store has brought eighty jobs to the local area.

Community members and store employees say it’s exciting to see a new store come to town for many reasons.

“It was exciting to come to town just to be able to bring whatever we could as far as jobs, growth for the community, we do have an associates in action program which is a charitable giving program where we donate our time and our resources to help with projects they need but also to be able to give back through grants.” Says store manager, Sarah Kozma.

This Kohl’s features a new store design and is the 46th to open in Michigan.
