Muskegon County Funeral Director Charged With Fraud

A funeral director in Muskegon County turned himself into police Friday after investigators say he buried an empty urn and mislead a family into thinking it contained a loved one’s remains.

Thomas Clock, from the now-closed Clock Funeral Home in Whitehall is charged with fraud and other crimes.

It’s not affiliated with other funeral homes with the Clock name.

Prosecutors say Clock was performing funeral services without a license since the end of October.

The fraudulent burial took place in December.
