Snyder Submits Appeal To FEMA Requesting More Aid For Flint Water Crisis

Governor Rick Snyder is asking the federal government for more aid to help deal with Flint’s water crisis.

Thursday, the governor submitted an appeal to the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

FEMA assistance was denied under an original emergency request.         

The governor issued a statement saying water quality is improving, but there is s a long road ahead for Flint’s recovery.

Michigan state officials are now investigating whether the water crisis has had any effect on the number of miscarriages in the city.

The governor has apologized for the water crisis, saying he would take responsibility for mistakes made.

He has denied calls to step down.
