Traverse City Man Charged For Jumping Airport Fence Takes Plea Deal

A man who jumped the fence at Cherry Capital Airport took a plea Monday.

Last month, Nico Delgado was trespassing on airport property and was able to get into a de-icer truck.

When workers confronted him, he ran away.

Police later found him with truck keys and marijuana in his pockets.

His plea deal dismisses the charge for having marijuana.

It also changes his 5 year unlawfully driving away charge to a two year joy ride charge.

Delgado pleaded guilty to trespassing airport property.

He is now facing a maximum of two years in prison.
