What’s Happening in Northern Michigan: Snowshoe Trip, Harbor Springs Restaurant Week, Ice Golf Scramble

Snowshoes, amazing food and glow in the dark golf.

Courtney Sheffer of the West Michigan Tourist Association tells you how you can be part of all three with a look at What’s Happening in Northern Michigan.

Grab your snowshoes and head out this Sunday to enjoy the great wine and beer that Old Mission Peninsula has to offer!

The shuttle bus will pick you up at Jolly Pumpkin and will take you to Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery.

You’ll receive tastes of their wines and then begin your snowshoe trek back towards Jolly Pumpkin, with an extra stop along the way for more tastings.

The entire snowshoe trip is just over a mile long, and includes your three tastings along the way.

It’s a great way to enjoy the beauty of Old Mission Peninsula in the winter!

Harbor Springs Restaurant Week is coming up soon, kicking off Friday, March 4, and running for ten days.

Restaurants in the Harbor Springs and Petoskey area will offer amazing menu specials for the ten days of Harbor Springs Restaurant Week.

Stop in for great $15 breakfast and lunch specials, or dine out in the evening for $25 dinner deals.

That’s ten days of dining out and trying great new places to eat and drink, starting March 4!

Head to St. Ignace on March 4th and 5th for great food, fun and prizes at the U.P. Ice Golf Scramble and Glow Ball Challenge.

The weekend includes a glow ball "Closest to the Pin" challenge the first night at dusk, a beer tasting and a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday for the Ice Golf Scramble.

A free shuttle is available for you to get around St. Ignace during the weekend, and there are some great prizes up for grabs for the best ice golfer each year!
