Grant Me Hope: Nick
Imagine waking up every day, wondering if today will be the day.
The day you finally find out for the first time in your life that you will have a forever family.
This week 9&10 News and Grant Me Hope introduce you to Nick.
Nick is 15 years old and in the 9th grade.
Nick describes himself as a quiet, outdoors person.
He enjoys fishing, camping and collecting basketball and football cards.
Nick dreams of attending Michigan State University to study nursing.
“I want to work in assisted living, helping elderly people,” says Nick. “I like to help people, because I’d understand how they feel about their past and all that.”
Nick hopes to be adopted by a family that enjoys spending time outdoors exploring nature.
“I want a nice, warm-hearted, welcoming family. It doesn’t matter to me if there is a mom, or a dad, or a brother, or sister. What I’m looking forward to most is a caring family,” says Nick.
Grant Me Hope is a collaboration between WWTV, Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange, Teddy’s Transport and the business community — all working together to find foster children a forever home.
