HS Hockey: Alpena Defeats Sault Ste. Marie 5-4 in Overtime

Sault Ste. Marie – In their final home game of the season, the Soo Blue Devils fell to the Alpena Wildcats in overtime, 5-4.

Nick Esch scored for the Wildcats just six minutes into the game but Conrad Schmitigal tied it just a few moments later.

Jacob Hamp responded quickly for Alpena giving them a 2-1 lead.

Abbey Roque scored the other Blue Devil goal in the first period.

The Blue Devils will be back in action on Tuesday at Traverse City West.
