Police in Oceana County arrested a man they say tried to rob a store.
The incident happened on January 7th at the Mitt Stop gas station in the Village of Shelby.
The clerk told police the suspect came in, pretended to be armed and demanded money.
He eventually ran away with no money.
Police arrested Timothy Veltman on January 26th.
He’s charged with attempted robbery.
Veltman did make bond.
