Grant Me Hope: Phoenix
Thousands of children in the United States are hoping that today, they’ll find out they’re being adopted.
9&10 News and Grant Me Hope want to help them find a forever family.
This week, we introduce you to Phoenix.
Phoenix is a 14-year-old who enjoys reading books, playing Lego Batman on the Wii and telling corny jokes.
“Why does the seagull fly over the sea? Because, if they flew over the bay, they’d be called a bagel,” jokes Phoenix.
When Phoenix grows up, he wants to be an apprentice for a silversmith and an inventor.
“I’d like a family that’s old fashioned. I’d like a family that enjoys history. A family, and a mom and dad that gives good advice,” says Phoenix.
Phoenix dreams of having a backyard to run around and a family that supports and comforts him.
“It’s not fun not having a family,” says Phoenix. “It’s not fun at all.”
Grant Me Hope is a collaboration between WWTV, Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange, Teddy’s Transport and the business community — all working together to find foster children a forever home.
