TRAVERSE CITY – The Frankfort wrestling team captured its first postseason team championship since 1994 on Wednesday, taking a Division 4 district title at Traverse City St. Francis.
The Panthers opened the night with a 42-36 win over the host Gladiators before winning 54-5 over Forest Area.
Frankfort now advances to a Division 4 regional at Pine River next Wednesday.
