Crawford County Man Facing Charges After Threatening To Kill Wife, Kids

The man police say threatened to kill his wife, his kids and then himself is now facing formal charges.

The situation caused Crawford-Ausable Primary School to go on a brief lockdown two weeks ago.

Crawford County deputies say it started as a fight at home between Travis Rhodes and his wife.

They say Rhodes made his wife drive to school to pick up their kids.

The wife managed to inform people inside the school what was going on while he waited in the parking lot — that’s where police arrested him.

The school was on lockdown for 15 minutes and Rhodes never went inside.

Rhodes faces up to 15 years in prison for unlawful imprisonment.
