Governor Snyder Will Not Testify About Flint Water Crisis On Capitol Hill

Governor Rick Snyder says he will not be talking about the Flint water crisis on Capitol Hill.

The governor’s office says he turned down an invitation sent to him by house democrats, calling for him to testify.

The steering and policy committee scheduled a hearing on the disaster this week.

Snyder’s spokesman says the governor will deliver a state budget to lawmakers on that day.

His office says those plans will include directing more resources to the water crisis.

Currently, there are several lawsuits filed against Governor Snyder and other high-ranking officials with ties to Flint.
