The FBI has arrested a Michigan man they say was planning to attack a Detroit church after showing support for Islamic State militants.
Khalil Abu-Rayyan is from Dearborn Heights.
The U.S. Attorney’s office says he’s been under constant surveillance after making threats against the church and police officers.
Their investigation started in may.
He’s now charged with terrorism-related crimes in addition to marijuana and gun charges.
