California Officials Outline Plan to Cap Los Angeles Gas Leak

California officials have outlined a plan to seal a natural gas leak that started in Los Angeles County months ago.

An adviser to California’s governor says the final phase to cap the Los Angeles-area gas leak should start Monday, and that it should be sealed by the end of next week.

Gas has been leaking since October.

The blowout sent more than two million tons of climate-changing methane into the atmosphere.
