LSSU women fall at home to Saginaw Valley State

SAULT STE. MARIE – The Lake Superior State women’s basketball team dropped to 3-13 in GLIAC play with a 55-39 loss to visiting Saginaw Valley State on Thursday.

The Lakers (4-18) trailed 22-20 at the half, but was outscored 21-12 in the fourth quarter.

LSSU’s Mackenzie Edwards led all scorers with 15 points, while Tamara Novic tallied eight points and six rebounds.

LSSU returns to action Saturday afternoon, hosting Hillsdale.
