Governor Snyder signed bills letting people in Michigan link emergency contact information to driver’s licenses.
It requires the Secretary of State and state police to develop and start a system by 2017.
The laws will help first responders quickly identify a victim’s emergency contacts.
Supporters say it also gives comfort to families of people with Alzheimer’s.
