Hillary Clinton Wins Iowa Democratic Caucuses

The Iowa Democratic caucuses finally have a winner.

Final results from the Iowa Democratic Party shows Hillary Clinton as the winner.

Clinton just passes Bernie Sanders in the total of state delegate equivalents awarded Monday in Iowa.

The Iowa Democratic Party said it would not recount the results, and a spokesman for Sanders’ campaign says the Vermont senator doesn’t plan to challenge the results.

Ted Cruz came out on top of the Republican caucuses Monday night, with Donald Trump in second and Marco Rubio in third.

Republican candidate Mike Huckabee and Democratic candidate Martin O’Malley dropped out of the race for president during Monday night’s Iowa caucuses.

Next the candidates will head to New Hampshire for the first primary on Feb. 9.
