Governor Snyder Asking for Additional Health Care Services for Flint Children

Governor Snyder is asking the federal government for additional health care services for Flint children who may have been exposed to lead-tainted water.

The governor is asking for expanded Medicaid eligibility for all those affected up to age 21.

High levels of lead were found in the city’s water after it switched its water source from the Detroit system to the Flint River in 2014.

Since then, they have switched back to Detroit water.
