Attack in Somalia by Islamic Extremist Group Kills More than 20 People

Police say more than 20 people have been killed in a siege in Somalia that started Thursday.

Police say security forces ended the attack at a beachfront restaurant in the African country’s capital, Mogadishu.

They say security took control of the restaurant just before dawn.

It’s unclear whether the number dead included the attackers.

The Islamic extremist group Al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attack.
