Feedback at 5:00: Detroit Public Schools

Detroit Public Schools say all classes are in session Wednesday after a teacher ”sick out" forced 88 out of 97 schools to close.

This isn’t the first sick-out in Detroit this year, but it is the largest.

Detroit Public Schools are suing to stop the protest over lower pay and run- down buildings.

Educators have been protesting the district’s finances, falling apart buildings, overcrowded classrooms, and low pay.

The state took control of Detroit Public Schools in 2009, which are more than half a billion dollars in debt.

What do you think of the teacher’s actions?
