Michigan Officials Helping to Stop Gas Pump Credit Card Skimming

State officials are working to put a stop to credit card skimming at gas pumps.

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is working with the United States Secret Service, the FBI and others as part of the National Conference on Weights and Measures Wednesday in San Diego.

The goal is to teach inspectors how to spot the skimmers.

The state department of agriculture has worked with police to remove about 30 skimmers from Michigan pumps since August of 2015.
