Many Detroit Public Schools Remain Closed as Teacher Sick-Out Continues

Many Detroit public school students stayed home again Tuesday as the teacher "sick-out" continues.

Detroit’s Mayor Mike Duggan toured some of the buildings saying teachers who have complained about mold, rodents and other workplace issues have legitimate concerns.

More than 20 schools were closed on Tuesday.

The mayor doesn’t control the school system but says he can order building improvements.

He’s promising a plan by Wednesday.
