CMU men’s basketball snaps losing streak against Akron

MT. PLEASANT – Braylon Rayson scored a game-high 24 points as the Central Michigan men’s basketball team ended a seven-game losing streak to Akron with a 92-81 win Tuesday at McGuirk Arena.

Rayson paced four Chippewas (9-7, 2-1 MAC) in double figures, as Chris Fowler and Rayshawn Simmons tallied 20 and 18, respectively. Luke Meyer also chipped in with 14 points for CMU, which outscored Akron 52-41 in the second half.

Reggie McAdams led the Zips (13-3, 2-1 MAC) with 21 points.

CMU returns to the court Saturday afternoon at Buffalo.
