Michigan State Police and sheriff’s deputies responded to a local school Friday morning after someone made a threat.
The anonymous threat was made against Kaleva Norman Dickson Schools in Brethren in Manistee County.
Troopers say there was no reason to believe the threat would be carried out, but were there as part of a standard response.
The school tells 9&10 News the threat was typed into a calculator, which showed up on a screen when the teacher turned on a projector.
The school is staying in secure mode the rest of the day as a precaution.
They want to emphasize that making threats to schools is a serious offense.
