Feedback at 5:00: Learning About Religion

The parents of some students at a Northern Michigan school are upset over a recent worksheet.

The assignment at Forest Area Schools was part of a lesson on religions around the world.

The elementary aged students learned about Islam, Judaism and Christianity.

The principal tells 9&10 News that they did send home a note to let parents know about the assignment, explaining it was part of an ongoing lesson on many different religions.

Some of the parents say the lesson does not belong in a classroom with children of such young ages.

Do you think religion should be a topic students learn about?

It’s today’s Feedback at 5:00.
