Traverse City Street Department Clears Roads After Weekend Snow

Plows and snow blowers are busy in Traverse City clearing roadways and sidewalks after this weekend’s snowfall.

Many saw snow around Northern Michigan over the weekend but areas like Traverse City saw upwards of six inches pile up.

And all that snow made for a busy couple days for city trucks and plows.

The Traverse City Street Department was out all day Sunday and bright and early Monday morning.

They say the lighter snow and sunshine help make clearing the roadways and sidewalks much easier.

“Right now everything’s going good and hope it continues through the day and we’ll have everything cleaned up by time everyone goes home. Today is easy.” Says Traverse City Street Dept. Superintendent, Mark Jones

The street department says Sunday’s snow did make it difficult with it constantly coming down.

But they had trucks out to clear it with no issues.
