Beulah Couple Bring Winning ArtPrize Piece Back Home To Northern Michigan

Two Northern Michigan artists brought their ArtPrize winning piece back home.

Ann Loveless is a textile artist. Her husband, Steve Loveless is a landscape photographer.

Together they spent months creating "The Northwood Awakening".

It’s called a photo fiber piece.

The artwork combines photography and quilting.

Soon it will be on display at Traverse City’s Dennos Museum.

The piece scored them a win in Grand Rapids at the 2015 ArtPrize.

“It’s a big event, sometimes it’s tough to get to and challenging to navigate the city and all of the things there are to see, and so to have the piece here people have the opportunity to come in and see it and really get a good look at it is great,” said Steven Loveless.

The couple has a gallery in Beulah where their work is always on display.
