Quick Lane Bowl 2015 : Central Michigan vs Minnesota

MT. PLEASANT – Our 5 days of Chippewas has come and gone.

And Sunday, on the eve of Central Michigan’s third bowl game in four years.

We take a look at the match-up between CMU and Minnesota.

After finishing the regular season 7- 5, Central Michigan Football knew its 2015 campaign wasn’t over.

Monday at 5:00 p.m. CMU will take on 5-7 Minnesota in the Quick Lane Bowl.

This will be just the second meeting in school history between the Chippewas and the Golden Gophers.

The first meeting, coming in 1987 when Minnesota beat CMU 30-10.

However, if you look at 2015’s statistics, you would notice 14 of the Chippewas and Golden Gophers games were decided by less than a touchdown.

Begging the question, will this Ford Field match-up be the same?

Senior receiver, Jesse Kroll believes Monday’s match-up will definitely be a challenge.

"They’re a solid defense, solid secondary. We look forward to the challenge and the wide-outs are all pretty excited and ready for the matchup."

"Much like us, they’ve been through a lot of adversity this year. They do a great job with their defense, especially on the back end. They’re a big, physical football team and also very well coached", said Central Michigan Head Coach John Bonamego.

Central Michigan and Minnesota kick off tomorrow night at 5:00 p.m.
