Michigan Wolves Could Be Removed From Endangered Species List With New Bill Provision

A new bill to remove wolves from the endangered species list could be moving forward with some out-of-state help.

A Minnesota congressman says a catch-all spending bill to return responsibility for managing wolf populations to Michigan will include a provision to strike off wolves off the list.

The bill would also include Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Representatives on both sides of the aisle say they are optimistic the bill will move forward.

The US Humane Society says wolf populations are still in recovery.
