United States Issues Worldwide Travel Alert

The U.S. is issuing a worldwide travel alert for Americans in the aftermath of the deadly Paris attacks.

The State Department says terror groups like ISIS, Al Qaeda and Boko Haram are continuing to plan terror attacks in multiple regions.

Officials say there are also individuals who might carry out attacks on their own.

While the alert does not ask Americans to avoid travel, it urges them to remain vigilant, especially in public places or using mass transit.

This is the first worldwide travel alert since December 2014.

It lasts until February 24th 2016.
