Feedback at 5:00: Allowing Syrian Refugees Into The United States

House Republicans are pushing a bill to put new restrictions on President Obama’s plan to allow up to 10,000 Syrian refugees into the Unites States.

The president calls the move offensive, and that it’s an action that is going to fuel the ISIS fire.

The new bill would require the Department of Homeland Security to certify that every refugee that comes into our borders is not a security threat and has undergone a background investigation.

The administration argues the majority of refugees are women and children, and only 2 percent of the 2,300 refugees accepted so far were single men of combat age.

It’s a risk 30 states, including Michigan, don’t want to take. They will try and keep refugees out.

Where do you stand on the issue? It’s today’s Feedback at 5:00.
