What’s Going On In Northern Michigan: Kewadin Casino Anniversary, TC Beer Week, Toast the Season
It’s almost Friday, and that means it’s time to start making weekend plans.
Courtney Sheffer of the West Michigan Tourist Association has more details on What’s Going On In Northern Michigan.
First we’re headed to Sault Ste. Marie, where Kewadin Casino will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
It takes place this Saturday.
Join the casino for its Pearl Anniversary Party.
Enjoy cake, champagne, hors d’oeuvres and plenty of cash giveaways.
But it’s not just Saturday. You can celebrate with Kewadin all month long.
Just visit the casino to earn entries for its weekly anniversary drawings through December 5.
Friday kicks off Traverse City Beer Week.
The event showcases a series of events highlighting its fabulous craft beer scene with seven days of beer tastings, dinners and workshops.
Enjoy a pint or a sample, meet with brewers and learn more about the incredible beer industry in Michigan.
The week also features unique opportunities to learn about the craft beer movement.
Learn about the art of pairing beer with food, rub elbows with the person who brewed your favorite beer or just enjoy a delicious multi-course beer dinner, served by a team of talented chefs and brewers.
If wine is more your thing, you can Toast The Season this weekend with the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail.
The event leads you on a self-guided tour of more than 20 wineries.
At each stop, you’ll get a souvenir wine glass, a holiday gift bag and special food pairings.
Plan to enjoy traditional wedding soup and Hennessey Harbor White at Shady Lane Cellars, pumpkin turkey chili with Pinot Gris at Laurentide Winery, and plenty of other delicious pairings to enjoy the season.
