Fox Topix: Michigan Powdered Alcohol Ban

Do you think the State of Michigan was right to ban the sale of powdered alcohol? Why or why not?

A bill signed into law Wednesday by Michigan Lt. Governor Brian Calley has made powders that can be used to make alcoholic drinks illegal.

Michigan’s ban takes effect in late January.

Those who make the powders say they are no more dangerous than traditional alcoholic drinks.

Others say they increase the probability of people using them to spike drinks, making much stronger concentrations, and could be deadly in the wrong hands.
