Fox Topix: Video of Student Being Thrown by Officer

What do you think should happen to a South Carolina deputy after he threw a student across a classroom?

A South Carolina sheriff’s deputy is suspended after grabbing a misbehaving high school student and throwing her across a classroom.

School leaders say the officer was called to the classroom because the student would not put her cell phone away after being asked to repeatedly.

The officer asked the student to leave with him, but she refused.

A video shows the deputy then grabbing the student’s neck, flipping her over and throwing her across the floor.

An internal investigation by the Sheriff’s Office is now underway.

The U.S. Justice Department is also looking to see if the student’s civil rights were violated.

What do you think? Were the actions of a South Carolina school resource officer justified or an example of police brutality?
