Cadillac Middle School Students Support Classmate Battling Cancer
A town united is how some Cadillac families describe what they’re doing for 11-year-old MacKale.
Mackale is battling cancer, but he’s not battling it alone. His middle school classmates thought of way to cheer him on every step of the way.
Some of Cadillac’s Mackinaw Trail Middle School students created a movement.
They organized Team Mackale shirts with Mackale’s soccer number for everyone to buy and wear. It started as a way to show Mackale that his friends stand behind him but is quickly becoming so much more.
“This is a really good way to show support. They’re on Facebook, they’re going around school passing out flyers and they get to feel like they’re really involved.”
