Mackinaw City Man Rear-Ended, Avoids Hitting a Dog
A northern Michigan man was rear-ended after he stopped to avoid hitting a dog.
Troopers say it happened on M-77 in Germfask Township in Schoolcraft County around 3:15 p.m. yesterday afternoon. They says Stephen Powers of Mackinaw City slowed down to avoid hitting a dog in the road, and that’s when Joel Smith from Wyoming rear-ended him.
Powers’ car was launched off the shoulder and into a ditch.
Both men were taken to the hospital with several minor injuries.
