Antrim County Woman Pleads Guilty to Embezzling from Local Food Pantry

An Antrim County woman accused of stealing thousands from a food pantry pleaded guilty to the crime.

The Antrim County prosecutor says the woman took between $1,000 and $20,000.

She was a rental agent for Lakes of the North and a volunteer at the Mancelona food pantry.

Judith Scholl pleaded guilty to embezzling one to $20,000 from a charitable organization.

The prosecutor says Scholl often kept money from rental properties instead of giving it to home owners in Lakes of the North.

Documents say Scholl also had access to the credit card at the Mancelona Food Pantry.
