St. Ignace Football Team Plays First Home Game After the Death of a Teammate

Friday night, St. Ignace students remember a fellow student.

St. Ignace High School lost a member of its football team two weeks ago in a head on collision.

Friday night was the first home game since Mitchell Snyder was killed by a suspected drunk driver.

Players wore a sticker on their helmet with his name and number.

Even though the accident happened just a couple of weeks ago, one student says life is slowly getting back to normal.

“There’s something definitely missing…we are trying to fill the hole and we are just supporting each other and staying positive….trying to."

Darrell love grove was arrested and charged with drunk driving causing Snyder’s death.
