For the second year in a row, Groundwork will host the premier autumn harvest community celebration that allows friends, neighbors and newcomers to break bread together and revel in all that is unique and beloved of Northern Michigan. Located on the historic grounds of the Grand Traverse Commons, the event offers an authentic family-style feast featuring local ingredients carefully prepared by hometown culinary talents from Harvest Restaurant and the Great Lakes Culinary Institute.

Presented by the National Writers Series. It took 10 long years, but author and musician Ben Sidran finished writing There Was a Fire, a book about Jews’ contributions to American popular music. He says he could never find a comprehensive work on the subject – so he wrote one himself.
