Petoskey native Jon Jansen up for Hall of Fame (link to vote)

Petoskey native Jon Jansen is up for selection into the Pro Football Hall of Fame once again.

Jansen is one of 108 modern-era nominees for the 2016 Hall of Fame Class.  The Redskins selected Jansen in the second round of the 1999 NFL Draft.  He played offensive tackle for ten seasons in Washington and spent his final NFL season with the Detroit Lions.

Jansen earned second-team All Pro honors in 2005.

He also won a National Championship as a member Michigan Wolverines in 1997.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame website says the top 25 modern-era nominees will be revealed in mid-October.
