First Responders Gather at MSU to Remember Lansing Firefighter

First responders from across the country came to remember Michigan firefighter Dennis Rodeman.

He died after police say someone hit him on purpose.

That happened last week during a ‘Fill the Boot’ fundraiser for muscular dystrophy in Lansing.

A funeral took place for Rodeman at Michigan State University’s Breslin Center Wednesday.

The seven-year Lansing firefighter also served in Iraq as a Marine.

He leaves behind his wife of two months, and their unborn child.

Doug Bradshaw of the Lansing Fire Department said today, they laid a hero to rest.

Police say Grant Taylor hit Rodeman with his truck.

He now faces a number of charges including open murder.
