Feedback at 5:00: Four-Day School Week

We’re just a few weeks into the school year, but a new study shows making those weeks shorter could help test scores.

Results published in the Journal of Education Finance and Policy show some benefits to a 4-day school week.

It found students with the shorter week were more likely to score well in advanced math tests.

The study also found possible improvements to reading skills.

While this is good news, changing to a 4-day week would be hard for working parents, who still have to be at their job 5 days a week.

We want to know: would you be in favor of switching to a 4-day school week?

Why or why not?

It’s tonight’s Feedback at 5:00.
